A real park every morning. No crate, ever.
Your dog spends the day loose on an open floor with their friends — not stacked in a kennel waiting for you. The morning starts with a trip to a fully fenced park.

Most San Francisco daycares keep your dog in one room for ten hours. We start every morning at a fully fenced park, then come back to an open floor with no crates and no kennels. Our van picks up at your door — so you never move the car.

Dog Grooming
The hardest part of grooming is the fear. Our groomers are the same people your dog plays with all week — so the table isn't a strange place with a stranger holding scissors.

Dog Boarding
Boarding shouldn't mean your dog wakes up somewhere unfamiliar. Ours stay in the same rooms, with the same people, that they know from daycare.

Pickup & Drop-Off Shuttle
The reason people quit daycare isn't the daycare — it's the 8am drive and the 5:30pm scramble. Our van picks your dog up at home and brings them back.

Why families choose us
We won't pretend otherwise. A full day here is $90, and the city average is closer to fifty. Here is exactly what the difference buys — and why the people who leave us five stars keep saying the same five things.
In this city, "luxury" boarding often means a stacked kennel and a cleaning crew in the morning. Our dogs are loose on an open floor all day, across three areas sorted by size and energy, with beds and dog houses to nap in when they want one. The only crate is the one you ask for.
Not a paved run. Not an "outdoor area" that is really a patio. We load the van and take the dogs to a real fenced park to run, and we do it every single day. One well-known competitor states plainly in a public reply that it cannot take dogs out of the building at all.
Photo updates go out through the day — the park, the zoomies, the nap. Our clients on Google use the phrase "a flurry of daily photos." You should never have to call a daycare to find out whether your dog is okay. If you do call, a person picks up.
Temperament test, then a trial day, then enrollment. It is a slower way to fill a room and it is why the room is safe. The dog we are protecting with that test is yours — the one already inside.
Heather, Watson and the team have run this floor since taking over a business that has been caring for San Francisco dogs since 2016. Read the reviews and you'll see clients naming staff individually — Mai, Daniel, Ricardo, Stina, Tyler. That is not a place with a revolving door.

“100% 5-star service. Watson and his entire team are professionals, far exceeding my expectations for dog care. They send a flurry of daily photos of your dog at the park. Tefani & So Dogcare is a safe choice for a positive and stress-free experience, give them a try and you won't be disappointed.”
“Once, Evie got an eye infection during boarding while I was traveling abroad, and Ricardo was so considerate and thoughtful. He took her to the vet, FaceTimed me from the clinic, answered all of my questions about her healing. They are very knowledgeable, with a low staff-to-dog ratio.”
“Kiko also loves the daily dog park trips. One of the best things for me is the shuttle service. Kiko gets picked up in the morning then dropped off in the afternoon, which really makes the entire process of sending her to daycare really effortless for me, especially if I need to work late at the office unexpectedly. They treat your dog like family.”
“We visited a couple other daycare options and didn't feel too great about leaving our anxious pup in a big warehouse environment. Stefani had us visit the space and let Kona sniff around before her first day and it felt like such a cozy place — other places wouldn't even show us where the dogs spend time!”
“Sarai did an amazing job grooming my little Yorkie mix dog. She was super gentle and careful. When I picked him up, she said 'he told me that…' instead of 'he was difficult or fussy'. I can see that she has a deep passion and love for dogs. So happy I finally found a groomer I like in San Francisco, after trying 4 others.”
“I appreciated that there was a temperament test — very important to ensure all the dogs at the site play well together. I also like they keep small dogs and big dogs separate since my young puppy was pretty small at that point. Most importantly my dog loves going there and is always excited to go back — and comes home tired after a full day of play!”
A day here

The shuttle
The reason people quit daycare is almost never the daycare. It's the 8am drive and the 5:30pm sprint across town. So we drive instead — across 40+ San Francisco neighborhoods, from the Presidio to Glen Park. Most of the big-name daycares in this city don't offer this at all.
Before you call
And the honest answers. If yours isn't here, call (415) 961-9595 — a person picks up.
No. Our dogs roam an open floor all day, across three areas separated by size and energy level. There are beds, dog houses and cushion chairs to nap in whenever they want. The only time a dog is crated is if you specifically ask us to.
Every day. The morning starts with a trip to a fully fenced outdoor dog park where the dogs can run off-leash. On top of that we do three walks a day, and potty and play breaks every two to four hours. This is the single biggest difference between us and most San Francisco daycares — many never leave the building.
You'll get photo updates throughout the day — the park, the play, the nap. You should not have to call a daycare to find out if your dog is okay. And if you do want to call, a person will pick up: (415) 961-9595.
Before any dog joins, we set up a meet-and-greet with one or two of our current dogs. If that goes well, we schedule a trial day. If the trial goes well, you're in. We are honest about it: not every dog is right for a group daycare, and telling you that is part of the job. The test exists to protect the dogs already here — including, once you join, yours.
We keep three distinct areas and sort dogs by size and energy level. Small and nervous dogs are not thrown in with a pack of eighty-pound adolescents. Several of our long-time clients came to us specifically because their dog was timid and a warehouse-style daycare hadn't worked.
Rabies and DHLPP are required for every dog. Bordetella is not required but we strongly recommend it, since it helps prevent canine cough in group settings.
We cover more than forty San Francisco neighborhoods, from the Presidio to Glen Park and everything in between. Check the service areas page — and if you don't see your street on it, call us anyway. We'll tell you straight whether we can reach you.
A full day is $90. A 10-day pack is $825, a 20-day pack is $1,600, and an unlimited monthly pass is $1,400. We are not the cheapest daycare in San Francisco and we don't pretend to be — you're paying for a park trip every morning, an open floor with no cages, a low staff-to-dog ratio, and a phone that gets answered.
Meet the Pack
Bring your dog by. Walk the space, meet Heather and Watson, watch the pack play, and let your dog sniff around. Then we'll do a temperament test and a trial day. You will know whether this is right long before you spend a dollar on a pass.
No pass required. No pressure. Some daycares in this city won't even show you where the dogs sleep — we start there.
